Why is the parkerized version of this rifle found for sale at a price that is less than the blued model? Isn't parkerizing better?
Parkerizing IS a better rust inhibitor than bluing. The process of applying the parkerized finish is less expensive. For bluing, the metal needs to be polished much more smoothly, before applying the bluing. Therefore, the added manufacturing time is reflected in the cost.
